RECIPE FOR FRENCH BREAD PIZZAS:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice a loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. Cut the halves into halves or thirds (to make 4 or 6 pizzas). Arrange the bread pieces on a baking sheet, cut sides up. You may have to use more than one baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil on the bread pieces. Spread the olive oil in with a pastry brush or the back of a spoon. Sprinkle with pizza seasoning. Pop into the oven for about 5 minutes. This creates a crispy layer on the bread, preventing the pizza sauce from soaking in and making soggy pizza! Remove from oven. Spread pizza sauce on each piece, then top with your favorite toppings, such as nitrite-free pepperoni, sliced black olives, chopped onion, sliced bell peppers, natural sausage. etc. Sprinkle shredded mozzerella cheese over the tops, and pop back into the oven until the bread is crispy and the cheese is all melted. Enjoy!
Barbecue chicken - use barbecue for the sauce, top with sliced red onion, cooked shredded chicken, and use cheddar for the cheese. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Cheeseburger - for sauce, mix 1/2 cup ketchup + 2 Tbsp yellow mustard, and spread evenly. Top with cooked ground meat, chopped onion, chopped pickle, and sliced Roma tomato, Use cheddar for the cheese, and garnish with crumbled bacon.
Chicken alfredo - use alfredo for the sauce, top with cooked chunks of chicken, minced garlic, chopped shallot, and mozzerella cheese. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Hawaiian barbecue - use barbecue for the sauce, top with chunks of cooked chicken, chunks of pineapple, sliced red onion, and minced garlic. Use mozzerella for the cheese, and garnish with chopped cilantro and crumbled bacon.
Mexican - mix a can of enchilada sauce and a can of refrieds and spread evenly for the sauce. Top with cooked ground meat, chopped Roma tomato, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions, and sprinkled taco seasoning. Use cheddar for the cheese, and garnish with sour cream.
Caprese - use pesto for the sauce, and top with sliced Roma tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and fresh mozzerella.
